Additional details
Lower Rates and Price Stability
Under the new contract, residents will see an immediate reduction in their monthly cost for trash and recycling services, from the current $20.01/month to $18.01/month. This rate will remain fixed for the entire five-year initial term, providing predictable household budgeting for years to come. For residents who choose trash-only service, the monthly cost will be $13.92. Unlike the current hauler, customers opting out of recycling will not be charged for that service.
Service Transition and Delivery Schedule
Dumpster Bandit bins, will arrive well before the service start date. Delivery will occur as follows:
- Week of May 18: Trash bins delivered
- Week of May 25: Recycling bins delivered
First pick-up by Dumpster Bandit will be June 2, 2026. If Waste Management bins are not collected promptly, Dumpster Bandit will continue to empty them for the first few weeks to ensure uninterrupted service.
Bi-weekly recycling will follow the same schedule currently used by Waste Management, with no changes to zone splits or collection cycles.
